What is the DD Waiver Program?
New Mexico’s DD Waiver program provides a wide range of supports aimed at helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) lead fulfilling lives in their own communities. Funded through Medicaid, this program offers an alternative to institutional care by allowing recipients to receive needed services in their homes or other community settings.

Application Process
Begin by contacting the New Mexico Developmental Disabilities Supports Division (DDSD). They can guide you through the application process.

ASSESSMENT: Eligible applicants will undergo a comprehensive assessment to identify specific needs and appropriate services.

SERVICE PLANNING: A service plan is then developed in collaboration with the individual, their family, and professionals.

SERVICE DELIVERY: once approved, services commence based on the personalized plan.
